The Ultimate Baby | Columbia Newborn Photographer

I have two friends from college who I can somewhat take credit for introducing, which then resulted in them dating, getting married and recently, having a kid! I knew Pat from my ultimate playing and Lindsay from my sorority (go Alpha Sigma Kappa, Women in Technical Studies!) I brought Lindsay to practice one day and the rest is history! I have had the amazing privilege to be involved in all the important milestones of their life together. Not only was I there the day they met, but I was around when they started dating, I was blessed to do their engagement photos and be a bridesmaid in their wedding and finally, now I have gotten to take baby photos of their beautiful daughter, Abby!

Abby was a little fussy, but we got some good shots. It helps that she is such a cute baby! She gets her good looks from her mom. Read the rest of this entry »

It All Started When … | Maryland Wedding Photographer

My first wedding working as a “pro” photographer was several years ago as a second shooter for my dear friend, Mandy Sroka. This was one of Mandy’s first weddings and she knew that I loved photography, despite my lack of wedding experience. A Day in the Life | Baltimore Photographer

Yesterday I went to a fantastic conference for graphic designers called A Day in the Life. I know that technically I am not a graphic designer, but as a photographer, a lot of the same principles apply. Plus, I love learning. I had a great time meeting new people, (including many ‘cyber friends’ whom I have never seen in the flesh before) listening to some awesome lectures, and being reminded again, just how little I know.

The more you know, the more you know how much you don’t know. (Say that ten times fast!) I can say this from first hand experience as a photographer, as a mathematician, and just as a person.

I plan to never stop learning.

Many thanks to Jessica Watson who put together the conference! I got to hang out with my dear friend Neva-lee and chat with my favorite Baltimore photographer, John Waire, and meet up with a bunch of my fellow Bmore Creatives!

Me and Neva-Lee!

We used to talk about opening up a bed and breakfast together. It would be called ‘Nev ‘n Bev’s Bed ‘n Breakfast’. Awesome, huh?!

P.S. Neva-lee has the prettiest eyes.
